Co-founders and cousins, Steven Scarrow and Caleb Norman, grew up literal worlds apart. Caleb grew up hunting, shooting, and embracing the country boy culture as the son of a South Georgia farmer. Meanwhile, Steven spent the majority of his formative years alongside his parents on the mission field in Mexico. Yet, every year their worlds collided when Steven returned back to the states for the summer. A summer he typically spent outdoors alongside Caleb and their Papa Ronnie. Their Papa Ronnie Norman was a legend in his own right for his ability to be self-reliant and tough as nails and he passed this mindset along to his grandsons as he taught the boys how to hunt, shoot guns, and protect themselves.
As adults, Steven and Caleb's relationship took a new turn when Caleb ordered a fully customized Kydex holster with a 7-week lead-time. Steven wanted the same holster, but without the wait and bet Caleb they could make one for him before Caleb’s ever arrived in the mail. They bought the material, borrowed Steven’s dad’s shop and mom’s oven and Steven had a fully customized Kydex holster long before Caleb did. From there, they started making holsters for family and friends and within a matter of months had customers across the state and nation. The Norman name - one easily recognizable in their hometown, as well as one associated with their Viking heritage and their tough as nails grandfather - was a given and the company Norman Tactical became official.
Norman Tactical holds the belief that every man (and woman) has the right to protect themselves and their family. They also believe they have the best possible tools to make that happen.
